About the Artist
Christine Banks
is a lifelong artist with a strong background in multiple medias such as acrylic painting, drawing, graphic design, photography, stone cutting and sculpture. She is also a marketing generalist, capable of managing a variety of industry platforms. As an active member of her local communities, Christine has used her knowledge garnered as an artist and marketing professional to assist several businesses, associations, and non-profit organizations, as well as her local government. She served on the Design Review Commission at the Village of La Grange, Illinois, for 6 years, ending her last term as Chairman. Her unique skill-set in marketing and sponsorship coordination most recently benefited the Park District of La Grange from 2022-2023. Christine is currently serving a 3-year term as Appearance Commissioner for the Village of Homewood, Illinois, and was most recently appointed on the Board of the Homewood Historical Society as Director of Communications Technology. Christine's award-winning fine art has been shown in galleries and exhibits throughout Chicagoland and the Midwest. She has painted nearly a dozen auction items as an artist in the La Grange Summer Art Project charity fundraising program over several years, acting as Project Chairman two years in a row. A sizable amount of her collection was recently donated to charity organizations for fundraising efforts. She is currently on hiatus from exhibiting. Christine has curated her artwork for summer-long interactive exhibits for children at the La Grange Public Library:
